Pay4Climate is helping the COMIFAC achieve its goal of conserving and sustainably managing the forests of Central Africa, which as one of the world’s largest natural carbon sinks, are estimated to absorb about 1.2 billion tonnes of CO2 every year.
By providing a market and an incentive for carbon removal projects that protect and restore forests, Pay4Climate’s contribution increases the value and efficiency of forest resources and reduces deforestation and degradation.
